The Great Dane Club of the Mid-South, Inc. (GDCMS) is currently not doing active rescue. The GDCMS realizes that there are worthy Great Danes that need new homes. Great Danes may come from a variety of sources other than members of the GDCMS and other AKC-licensed Great Dane Clubs.

The list of Great Danes who GDCMS has been informed need new homes and can be obtained from local shelters and/or individuals who can no longer keep their dog. Neither the local shelters nor the individuals on this list are members of or related to GDCMS in any way. This information is unverified as to accuracy. The GDCMS lists this information solely as a service to the public as a resource to you to enable you to investigate if any of these alternative sources are appropriate for you.

The GDCMS does not screen any of the dogs listed nor the facilities where they are housed. The GDCMS has not had any control over the breeding, maintenance, training, or care of these Great Danes and does not accept responsibility and is not liable for any dealing you may have with any of the dogs and/or facilities listed here. The GDCMS does not make any express or implied warranty or guarantee as to the quality, health, temperament, suitability, value or appropriateness of the dogs.

Since some may be older dogs, it is even more important that you ask questions of the owner/shelter as to the health, temperament, training, and conditioning of the dogs to determine if the dog would be appropriate in your house.
