Welcome

The Great Dane Club of the Mid-South (GDCMS) was founded in 1950. GDCMS held their first Specialty Show on Friday, May 11, 1951 [Catalog Available On-Line].

The purpose of the club is to encourage responsible breeding and Great Dane ownership.

We hope through education to develop the Great Dane as defined by the Great Dane Club of America and American Kennel Club Standards.

It is our goal to promote a better understanding of this wonderful breed known as the "GENTLE GIANT".

Membership is open to any person who owns or is interested in owning a Great Dane and who agrees to the policies of the club.

If you are interested in becoming a member please contact us.

Newsletters and other updates are now online, check ours News page for more information!
